Long Run 2h15min - Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

The overwhelming feeling I have after this run is that of Thankfulness.

The last 15 minutes I headed into the 2 hour territory. I had the feeling that I will actually be able to do this. My right foot pain will be tolerable and I may be able to avoid lower leg injuries if I spend a lot of time on alternative cardio-machines rather than running if I need to.

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. Psalm 107:1

For at least 10 minutes I repeated a simple mantra: "Thank You, Thank You, Thank You...."  Very rhythmically saying 'Thank' on the left foot and 'You' on the right foot. Directing this to God and achnowledging that I owe Him thanks for allowing me to do this. After about 5 minutes I started to feel a tingle up and down my spine and definitely felt pain-killing chemicals being released. 

This was an intense Runner's High that we seek as runners and that makes us keep coming back for more.

This was a breakthrough workout.
