Last Long Run

I just completed my last Long Run.

This is THE most critical workout in preparation for a marathon.

We broke it up by alternating 30 minutes on the treadmill with 45 minutes outdoors. Three segments on the treadmill and 2 segments on the roads.

I LOVE these Long Runs. Such an exhausting and satisfying feeling. Your system is all messed up for a while. You don't feel like eating or doing anything for that matter. But it is a great feeling.

This is the longest run I have had in a LONG time - probably 7 years or more.

I know from experience that these runs give the most improvement of any run, as long as you can do them without getting injured and you allow time to recover.
